Infrastructure grows through participation
OTWONO is exploring a community oriented, distributed network where compatible devices contribute networking, storage, compute, local communication or services.
Nodes take many forms
Potential participants include OTWONO OS computers, servers, dedicated hardware, community infrastructure and future Modapod buildings. Participation must be technically and legally practical.
Connectivity still needs infrastructure
Distributed nodes do not eliminate upstream internet providers, physical links, radio constraints, spectrum rules or network operations. Local communication and shared services are distinct from global internet access.
An architecture to investigate
Resource sharing, resilience, trust, routing, privacy and maintenance are research questions. Increased participation can expand capability, but capacity and reliability depend on real deployment conditions.
