1. The short version
- We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to sign you in, keep the Sites secure and fast, and make the music player work.
- We have not added advertising trackers. Google Analytics runs on www.otwono.com only if you agree to it.
- Some pages load fonts or players from other companies, which can receive your IP address.
- You can clear all of this at any time in your browser settings.
2. What cookies and local storage are
2.1. Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser and reads back on later visits.
2.2. Local storage, session storage and the browser cache are other places in your browser where a website can save information on your own device. Unlike cookies, information in local storage and the cache is not sent to our servers with every visit; it stays on your device unless a feature uses it.
3. Cookies we use
All the cookies below are strictly necessary: the Sites cannot sign you in or work safely without them. Exact cookie names can vary.
- Sign in cookies (both Sites). Set by WordPress (names usually begin with “wordpress_”) to keep you signed in to your OTWONO account and to check that your browser accepts cookies. They last until you sign out or for a set period, up to 14 days if you choose “remember me”.
- Security cookie (otwonostudios.com). A short lived security token that protects the Studios sign in from forged requests.
- Cache cookie (both Sites). Tells our LiteSpeed cache to show signed in visitors their own pages instead of a shared cached copy. It lasts for your browser session.
- Store cookies (www.otwono.com). If you use store pages on the hub, the store software may set cookies that remember an order in progress, for up to 2 days.
4. Storage on your device used by our player and pages
These features save information only in your browser on your device. We do not receive it unless stated.
- Songs and player files you save for offline listening are kept in the browser cache (a private cache for our site), so you can play saved music without an internet connection. To remove them, use the player’s remove option or clear site data in your browser.
- Your repeat mode is kept in local storage to remember how you like the player to repeat. Clear site data to remove it.
- Download links for music you bought are kept in local storage so the player can show your purchases and your download button. Clear site data to remove them. Keep a copy of your purchase email first, because the link is also in that email.
- Game scores, unlocks and display preferences (such as pausing motion) may be kept in local storage to remember your best scores, unlocked items and settings. Clear site data to remove them.
- Page transition state is kept in session storage for smooth animations when moving between OTWONO pages. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Shared devices: anyone who uses your browser on the same device could play your offline music or use a saved download link. On a shared device, clear site data when you are done.
5. Content from other companies
Some pages load content from other companies. When they do, your browser connects to that company directly, which receives your IP address and browser information and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy and cookie policies.
- Google Fonts (Google): may load on some pages and in the album player to show text in our fonts. Google receives your IP address.
- YouTube (Google) and Spotify: players on www.otwono.com load only after you click to load them.
- Suno: players appear only on private preview pages.
- Google Analytics (Google): on www.otwono.com only, and only after you agree in the cookie choice. It sets its own cookies to measure visits. Change your choice anytime from the footer link.
- PayPal: the payment pop up is run by PayPal, which uses its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
6. Your choices
6.1. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in, and some features will not work.
6.2. Clearing site data for otwonostudios.com will remove offline music and saved download links from that browser.
6.3. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are used on www.otwono.com only if you agree to them, and you can withdraw that agreement from the footer link at any time. We will update this notice and ask for your consent before adding any other non essential cookies.
6.4. For more about how we handle information, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes
We may update this notice when the Sites change. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version.
